Here’s an easy guide to help you decide what kind of automatic security gate may be right for you.
Swing Gates – Think Driveway Glam
Best for: Driveways with space to swing open, flat sections, or those who love a classic look.
Swing gates are like the front door to your driveway; they swing inwards (or outwards if there’s no other option) and give off major stately-home vibes. You’ve probably seen them at lifestyle blocks or homes with long driveways.
Example: Got a flat driveway with space on either side and want something timeless? A swing gate might be just your style.
Pros:
- Looks sharp and elegant
- Can be single or double leaf
- Quieter operation
Watch out for:
- Needs room to swing open
- May not suit steep driveways or areas with strong winds
Sliding Gates – Sleek and Space-Saving
Best for: Homes with sloping driveways or limited space behind the gate.
